Natalia L Rudychev is an award-winning photographer, Fulbright scholar and Touchstone Distinguished Book Award Shortlisted author.
Through her work, Natalia seeks to bring her formal education in literature studies, dance and philosophy to the multidisciplinary projects revealing the histories, myths and storylines deeply embedded within ordinary objects. Inspired by the Japanese aesthetics of wabi-sabi, Natalia creates surreal narratives in which social constructions regarding nature, gender differences and diasporic conditions overlap.
Natalia L. Rudychev’s work is in public and private collections in Japan, UK, Russia and USA. Natalia’s publication record includes magazines, journals and newspapers in USA, Japan, Australia, Germany, France, UK, Canada, India and Russia.
